Swackett Weather Fun Fact:  Why does the sky turn a shade of orange or red at sunset?  Atmospheric particles (dust, salt, smoke, pollution) scatter blue ight more than red, the distance that sunlight travels through the atmosphere leaves sunlight depleted of blue and therefore rich in orange and red.
