System Issue at 6:27 PM Eastern Time on Saturday, June 9th: Resolved

We experienced intermittent connectivity issue starting at 6:27 PM eastern time today — lasting exactly 18 minutes.  All modern Swackett apps were affected.

There was no data loss. The issue appears to be centered around a third-party data provider.

This issue has been resolved — and we’ve installed an alert to prevent it from happening again,

All services have been fully restored. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Partial Outage: Sunday, December 10th, 2017

Swackett servers in the eastern United States were not responding quickly enough between noon and 3 PM eastern time.

The problem has been corrected — and we will be watching the situation closely.

Issue with Humidity Levels (Resolved)

Swackett engineers corrected a problem today that could allow humidity levels to appear as zero in the United States.  The issue was caused by humidity levels in our weather data feed reporting with more decimal places than expected — which could result in a rounding error in some cases. This effected all Swackett apps.

If your local humidity does not present as expected  — please let by know by submitting a tech support ticket.

Scheduled Outages for High-Resolution Radar Imagery Upgrade

Swackett app infrastructure will undergo scheduled outages from Thursday, March 2nd thru Sunday, March 5th as we migrate our radar systems to new, high-resolution satellite and radar imagery. This outage will allow us to perform maintenance on the primary servers used by all Swackett information assets.

When is the maintenance?

  • (North American Eastern Time) Thursday, March 2nd thru Sunday, March 5th Eastern Time
  • (GMT+0 Time) Thursday, March 2nd thru Sunday, March 5th from 4:00 to 4:30 GMT

What about weather forecast?

Forecasts and weather images will be available during this outage, but up-to-the-minute weather radar/imagery may be delayed up to 30 minutes.  During the changeover animated radar loops will not work for periods of time.

Will my Swackett website still work?

Yes. But be advised that weather imagery and radar will temporarily be affected in the USA and Canada — with delays in some locations lasting up to an hour.

Will my Swackett app still work?

Yes. But be advised that weather information will not be delayed — but eather imagery and radar will temporarily be affected in specific countries.
