Identifying Weather Widgets By Name and ID

Swackett 6 apps feature dozens of weather widgets grouped into stylized collections. Widget collections can be enabled with a single tap — and widgets from different collections can be mixed and matched to suit any need.

Because widgets can change their appearance based on the data they are displaying — and because of the sheer number of available widgets — the ability to display a widget’s name and ID is available in Settings. Making the widget name and ID visible can aid in organizing widgets to suite a user’s taste.

Widget names and IDs are hidden by default, but can be made visible when needed. Visibility is controlled in the Layout and Skins section of the Setting tab.

How to Set Custom Locations in Swackett 5 Series Apps for iOS

Swackett apps for iOS support up to 10 custom locations.  We’ve recently upgraded Custom Locations to make configuring them a simple, 3-step process. 🙂

Swackett comes preloaded with 10 locations from around the world. You can replace any of these by typing in a new city name and tapping the Done button. This will save your new location.

To activate the new location, simply open the Locations Shortcut panel (Step 01 above) and tap the city name.

Want More Control? You’ve Got It!

Tap the Validate GSP Coordinates button to view and refine your custom location to within 365 feet of where you are standing.

Got Questions? Having trouble with Custom Locations?

We can set your custom locations for you remotely. Create a Tech Support ticket on this site if you have any issues with Custom Locations.

Having Trouble with Siri Understanding “Swackatoomie”?

For some of our users Siri is able to understand the What To Take With Me shortcut trigger “Swackatoomie” each and every time it is spoken. 🙂

Unfortunately for other users, it sometimes won’t work at all. We are still investigating this issue — but the root cause appears to be how the user records  the trigger phrase with their voice.

A popular workaround if you are having trouble is to record the phrase “Swackett to me” instead of “Swackatoomie”.

Alternately — you can record any phrase you wish. Some example you might try:

  • Leaving the house now
  • Do I need a jacket?
  • Going outside now

Are you having trouble with this feature? If so, please let us know — we are more than happy to help.
