Swackett for macOS supports Dark Mode for use in dark environments — and for people whom appreciate the cool dark look. 🙂
Swackett will honor Dark Mode as set by the operating system (requires macOS 10.14 Mohave). You can override the operating system below — forcing Swackett’s user interface to appear in light or dark mode (requires PRO version of Swackett).
Full Dark Mode support requires Swackett for macOS version 5.2.0 or greater.

What’s new version 5? Everything!
Swackett has been re-imagined for modern macOS computers — small screens and large. We’ve given the famous Swackett people symbols (peeps) a new place to share their dynamic visual weather forecasts — and with the new PRO upgrade — Swackett peeps appear not only appropriately dressed for the weather, but suggesting weather-appropriate activities.
For the first time, Swackett works with the Touch Bar on your MacBook Pro. Also for the first time, Swackett now supports small screens without scrolling. And in PRO mode Swackett takes full advantage of large screens to showcase WeatherStation gauges, This Day in Weather History, and more.
There is no other weather app like Swackett. Test drive the most innovative weather app ever created today — for free!

In June 2018 Swackett’s version 5-series included new PRO weather gauges originally designed for large screens. Never intended to be used on smaller screens — users made it clear they wanted to see these new gauges on any size screen.
We heard you. 🙂
Version 5.1 includes a new option adding 2 panels to the classic Swackett 4-panel design. These new panels house these PRO weather gauges on two different tabs — even on the smallest MacBooks.
Swackett apps for macOS support up to 15 custom locations. We’ve recently upgraded Custom Locations to make configuring them a simple, 3-step process. 🙂
Swackett comes preloaded with 10 locations from around the world. You can replace any of these by typing in a new city name and tapping the Done button. This will save your new location.
To activate the new location, simply open the Locations Shortcut panel (Step 02 above) and tap the city name.
Want More Control? You’ve Got It!
Tap the Validate GSP Coordinates button to view and refine your custom location to within 365 feet of where you are standing.
Got Questions? Having trouble with Custom Locations?
We can set your custom locations for you remotely. Create a Tech Support ticket on this site if you have any issues with Custom Locations.
Updated December 22, 2018
It appears there was a glitch in the custom Celsius temperature settings in the Personalization Center.
Peeps would sometimes appear with the wrong clothing — and spine badges were incorrect (off by 30 degrees or so).
Engineering has deployed a fix now — and will investigate further to make sure the issue is solved everywhere.
This issue has been resolved. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by this issue — and (as always) we appreciate your continued use of Swackett apps!
Please do not include the degree symbol (°) in custom locations.
Please do not include N, S, W or E direction designators in custom locations.
And if in the western hemisphere, please include the dash (–) for latitude coordinates.
For example, Denver has an GPS coordinate of:
39.7392° N, 104.9903° W
But should be entered in the Personalization Center as:
Latitude: 39.7392
Longitude: -104.9903
This work-around will get you up and running while we address this problem on our servers.
This issue has been resolved. We’re sorry for an inconvenience caused by this issue — and (as always) we appreciate your continued use of Swackett apps!
